Why Fairtrade?

Fairtrade Frome

Frome is one of over 600 Fairtrade Towns across the country, 1600 throughout the world and is located in Somerset, the first Fairtrade County in England. Fair trade is about better prices, decent working conditions and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers. It's not just chocolate... there are over 4500 products available which carry the Fairtrade Logo including flowers, footballs, beauty products, biscuits, fruit, coffee, tea, chocolate, sugar, sweets, jewellery and cocoa. We are putting together a local directory of shops, cafés and businesses which use or sell Fairtrade products.
